 A Poem I Wrote When I Was Young

I don't want to see her

I am home for the holidays

it is thanksgiving day

and

 I don't want to see her

the girl that most of my poems are about

she knows my best friend and that is how we actually met

she is still in the closet and is about to get married

Oh how I really don't want to see her

It has taken me a while to get her out of my system

and I think I have finally done it

I barely even think about her throughout the day now 

she is in town for the holidays

and

she is the girl...okay if you are in denial or were in denial

she is the girl that you can't make excuses for like you usually

can looking or feeling this way towards a girl

this time you can't say all girls look or feel this way towards

each other sometimes because this time it is different

she is the girl that makes you realize what you have already

known for so long about yourself that your gay

I don't want to see her

Please god don't let me have to look into her eyes smile

and say hi and then have to feel her body pushed against mine

as we give each other a hug and then have to make small talk

so how are you doing what have you been up to so I hear your

getting married ...married...married

No...No I'm not ready but i'll never be ready but just for now
